Client Tools for Adding and Looking-Up Digital Resources
In Digital Storage Manager there are several ways to lookup and add digital resources through the client. These are:
Using File Collectors in Forms
Using Digital Resource Explorer window
Lookup and Add via File Collectors
File Collectors are form elements that function similarly to the File Board window, except that they are located within a form. File Collectors can be used in two ways to add and lookup digital resources in the database:
- Dragging and Dropping files into the File Collector.
- Selecting Add or Lookup in the Context Menu.
When digital resources are added or successfully looked-up, Virtual Ticket DeveloperDigital Storage Manager will display the digital resources in the File Collector.
Lookup and Add via File Board windows
File Board windows can be used in two ways to Add and Look Up digital resources in the database:
- Dragging and Dropping files into the File Board window.
- Selecting Add or Lookup in the Context Menu.
When digital resources are added or successfully looked up, Virtual Ticket DeveloperDigital Storage Manager will display them in the File Board window.
Lookup and Add via Digital Resource Explorer window
Digital Resource Explorer windows can be used to add and lookup digital resources in the database by dragging and dropping the file or folder into the window navigation pane.
When digital resources are added or successfully looked up, Digital Storage Manager will display them in the navigation pane of the Digital Resource Explorer window.
Lookup and Add via Cataloging window
Cataloging windows can be used to add and lookup resources in the Digital Storage Manager database.
Digital Resources can be added to the database by dragging and dropping them into the drop zone of the Cataloging window or by clicking the Add button.
Digital Resources can be looked up in the database by dragging and dropping files and folders into the drop zone of the Cataloging window.
When digital resources are added or successfully looked up, Digital Storage Manager will display them in the navigation pane of the Cataloging window.
