Send Notification Window

Option+Click Update on a Form

The Send Notification window allows you to easily send manual notifications to any mix of users and groups defined in DSM.

Window Objects

Event Name	The Event Name for the Notification can be typed here.
Users and Groups List	Each User and Group defined for the system is listed here. Notifications are sent to Users and Groups who have their corresponding Notify Checkbox selected when the Notification is sent.
Notify Checkbox	User and Group recipients for the Notification can be assigned here.
Message	The Notification Message can be typed here.
Cancel	Updates the Form without sending a Notification.
Notify	Sends the Notification and updates the Form.

Procedures

To update a digital resource in a form and send a Notification:

Type an Event Name for the Notification in the Event Name field.
Select Recipients for the Notification by enabling the Notify checkboxes.
Type a Notification Message in the Message field.
Click Notify. The Form will be updated and the Notification will be generated and sent to the designated recipients.

To update a digital resource in a form without sending a Notification:

Click Cancel. The Form will be updated but Notifications will NOT be generated.
