To prevent unauthorized access and identify the user in the DSM System, users must log in to Digital Storage Manager (DSM) on startup. Logging in is done through the User Login window. DSM authenticates users based on User ID and Password information

Displays the Server that the DSM client will attempt to connect to. When clicked, the DSM Application Server Settings Window will open, allowing you to specify server connections. | |
Field for typing the unique User ID assigned by the Administrator. | |
Field for typing the password assigned by the Administrator. | |
Attempts to log in to the DSM server identified in the connection information box, using the User ID and Password defined in the above fields. |
To open the Application Server Settings window:
- Click the Server Connection Information active text. The User Login: Application Server Settings window will open.
To quit DSM without logging in:
