Putting Away / Restoring Job Charges
While the Job Recorder page is designed to record the amount of employee time/material usage concurrently while the work is being done, the Job Manager application provides the flexibility of "putting away" the job charges. Putting away job charges while they are being recorded allows the user to close the Job Recorder page and still allow the time to continue to be recorded. Any pending job charges that have been "put away" may be "restored" at a later time.
- Click the Production tab. The Production Tools page will open.
- Select Job Recorder. The Job Recorder page will open, with a search dialog allowing you to find a Job.
- Type a name, partial name, number, or partial number for a Job and click Go (
). (Leave blank for all Jobs). A list of possible job matches will appear.
- Click the Task Selector button (
) and select a task. The selected Task will appear in the Task Field.
- For material/miscellaneous item charges, type the quantity you want to charge in the Qty field. The units by which it is measured is displayed next to the Qty field.
- For labor item charges, click START (
) to begin recording time.
- OPTIONAL: Type a note of description for the job charge in the Notes field. Adding notes to your job charges can help clarify any questions that may arise when job charges are being reviewed and reported at a later date or time.
- Close the Job Recorder page. A notification dialog will appear.
- Review the Production Tools page. Job Recorders that have been put away will appear in the Pending Job Charges for <user> list.
- Click the Resume link for a Job Recorder you want to restore. The Job Recorder page will appear with the appropriate information that was recorded initially automatically re-inserted into the proper fields.
