The Jobs Home page consists of a list of recently added and changed Jobs, a My Jobs list containing any Jobs that have been marked for inclusion in My Jobs, and any Job-related finds that have been saved. The appearance of the Jobs Home page may be modified by using Views.

Procedures
Creating a new Job
Open the New Job page if it is not already open.
Type a Job Number in the Job No. field. If this field is not editable, then your Administrator has configured the system to automatically assign Job numbers when new Jobs are created. If the field is editable, but contains the text "<auto>", then the Administrator has configured the system to automatically assign Job numbers when a new Job is created, but has provided the ability for users to override this by typing in number.
Type the name of the Job in the Name field.
Type the name of a Customer in the Customer field. Alternatively, you can look up and select a customer using the find customer tool ( ).
Click Add ( ) when done. The new Job will be added to the database and the Job's details will be displayed.
Finding Jobs
Open the Find Jobs page if it is not already open.
Construct your search logic. Refer to Using Standard Searches for more information on search logic.
Click Search ( ). The search will be conducted. Results of the search will be displayed. See [Find Jobs - Search Results] for more information.
Viewing details of a Job
Click a Job Number or Job Name in either the Recent Jobs list or the My Jobs list of the Jobs Home page. The Job Details page will open, displaying the details for the selected Job.
Viewing details of a Customer
Click a Customer Code or Customer Name in either the Recent Customers list or the My Customers list of the Customers Home page. The [Customer Details Page] will open, displaying the details for the selected Customer.
Editing a Job
Click a Job link. Job Links are displayed in multiple areas throughout the user interface and are typically present any place where a Job Name or Job Number is displayed. The Job Information page will appear.
Click Edit ( ). The Job information will be displayed in Edit mode.
Edit the Name or Customer information for the Job. (Job numbers are not editable after a Job has been saved).
Click Update ( ) when finished.
Marking a Job for inclusion in My Items
Locate an object you want to appear in the My Items page.
Click the white Star icon ( ) next to the object. The icon will turn yellow ( ), indicating that it will also appear in the My Items page.
