In addition to recording the daily activities of your employees, Job Manager also allows you to record employee working hours through the Time Card page. Job Manager makes a distinction between the information recorded by the Time Card and Job Recorder/Charge Out pages: the hours recorded with the Time Card reflect how long the employee was present at work during a single day or shift, while the information recorded with the Job Recorder/Charge Out reflect the activities they performed during that time.
The Time Card page allows each employee to record their working hours (i.e. time present at work). Up to twenty (20) Time In/Time Out sessions can be recorded for each work day. Additional explanatory notes can be associated with time cards. The total number of hours present at work will automatically be calculated and displayed in the page.
Generally, once a Time In or Time Out value has been entered using the Start or End buttons, it is permanently recorded in the database and cannot be altered. However, users assigned the Modify Time Card privilege will be able to correct their existing Time Card information after it has been recorded and can also manually type Time In or Time Out values in the corresponding text boxes. Users assigned both the Modify and Select Employee Time Card privileges will be able to modify and change the Time Card information of other users using both the Start and End buttons or the respective text boxes.

Recording employee time card information
- Click the Production tab. The Production Home page opens.
- Click the Time Card link above the page header. A Time Card appears for the currently logged in user.
Note: Users with the Select Employee permission can open and edit Time Cards for any user by searching for and selecting an employee name in the Time Card page.
- Click START (
) to begin recording working hours and click END (
) to stop recording working hours. Clicking the Start and End buttons will automatically insert the current time into the Time In and Time Out fields for a session and save the respective value to the database. Users with Modify privileges can manually type Time In and Time Out values in the corresponding text boxes and can modify existing times.
- Repeat step 6 as needed for each time in/time out session you want to record for the day. Job Manager will always maintain an empty row in the list. New blank rows will be added for recording time in/time out when a time is recorded in the current last row in the list. Up to twenty (20) time in/time out sessions may be recorded on a time card.
- Enter any notes you want to associate with the day's time card in the Notes field and click Update (
). If no notes were added and Time In and Time Out values were recorded using the Start and End buttons, the Update button need not be pressed. If notes were added or Time In and Time Out values were recording by typing in the corresponding text boxes, the Update button must be used to save the notes and/or manually typed times.
At this point, some time card information has been recorded for the employee - either a start time, a complete time in/time out session, or a complete set of information for the entire working shift.
