Using a Template Picture as a Background

Using a Template Picture as a Background

The Form Editor allows you to import a template picture into your form to use as a template while you are formatting and designing the form. This is helpful when you want to replicate the appearance of an existing form or design a form that will be output from Job Manager to a preprinted document. Template pictures must be saved as .jpg files to be used in Job Manager.

IMPORTANT! Template pictures will not be stored with forms in the Job Manager database. Therefore they will not appear when forms are displayed in and printed from Job Manager. Template pictures can be used only while formatting and designing the form in the Form Editor. For information about importing images that will be saved with the form, refer to the "Drawing Boxes and Importing Images" section.

To import a template picture for a form:

1. Select Import Template Picture from the Form menu. A dialog box will appear, allowing you to specify the JPG image you want to use as a template picture for the form.

2. Select the JPG, PNG, PICT, or PDF file you want to use and click Open. The template picture will appear as a background for the form in the Form Editor window.

At this point, you can use the template picture as a background when using the Form Editor tools to format and design the form.
