Conducts the Retrieval Request search, refreshing and updating the results. | |
Opens the Save Find window for saving the search as a new Find. See Step 13 in “Creating Finds” for more information. | |
Displays thumbnails of folders and files for which Retrieval Requests have been generated. | |
Opens and closes the search condition editor. This functionality is unused in the Retrieval Request Queue window. | |
Displays selected Retrieval Requests in the Retrieval Request Form. | |
Displays the open Retrieval Requests without the associated Retrieval Request Form. | |

To change the status of a Retrieval Request:
- Select a Retrieval Request.
- Click Edit.
- Select the Status drop-down menu and select a status.
- Click Update. The user who initiated the Retrieval Request will receive a notification.
To open the destination folder for a Retrieval Request in a Finder window:
- Select a Retrieval Request.
- Click Open in File System in the Retrieval Request Form. A Finder window will open for the destination directory. If you have access to the requested files, you can drag and drop them into the Finder window and set the status for the Retrieval Request to Completed.
To complete a Retrieval Request:
- Copy the files to be retrieved to the indicated destination and change the status of the Retrieval Request to Completed and click Update. A notification will be sent to the user who created the Retrieval Request.
- Click Copy/Retrieve Files in the Retrieval Request form. Digital Storage Manager will automatically retrieve the files to the selected destination if it can locate the requested files in the local CD/DVD drive or a mounted location. If it cannot locate the files for which the Retrieval Request was generated, the Retrieval Options window will open, allowing you to select additional retrieval options, including Helpers, destinations, and behavior for missing files.
- Change the status of the Retrieval Request to Completed and click Update. A notification will be sent to the user who created the Retrieval Request.
