Update Options Summary:
Summarizes the options selected for the Update. As changes are made to the options, the summary changes to reflect them.
Options
Reveals and hides additional Update options.
Cancel
Closes the Update File Information window without performing an update.
OK
Performs the update.
Add and Delete DigitalResources[...]
When selected, this will allow the Update process to add and remove digital resources to and from the database for files and folders contained within the roots selected for updating. When disabled, the Update process will perform thumbnailing, preview, and file information updates only.
File Paths
Will prompt for file path information for all roots, or for only missing roots. Available selections for this option include: All roots and For missing roots.
Thumbnails, extended previews,and file info
Determines for what files thumbnails, extended previews, and file information will be updated for. Available selections for this option include: All files, Changed files, and Skip all.
Linked files
Determines whether or not files linked to (but not necessarily selected as part of the Update operation) from within files are updated. Linked files can be updated for Adobe Illustrator and QuarkXPress files. Available selections for this option include: Include and Skip.
On error
Determines what the update process should do when it encounters an error. Available selections for this option include: Ask and Continue.
Procedures
To update a file, folder, or volume:
Select the update options needed.
Click OK. The update process will run.
To close the update window without running the update process:
Click Cancel. The Update File Information window will close.
