CA ARCserve Backup Helper

This Helper is designed to assist archive tasks in environments where CA ARCserve Backup is used to manage writing files to tape media.

Archiving with the CA ARCserve Backup Helper

Note: This procedure assumes that you are in the process of archiving files and that you have the Archive Options window open. See “Archiving files and folders” for more information.

1. Select the Tape Set Media Type in the Archive Options window.
2. Select the CA ARCserve Backup Helper from the Archive Using menu.
3. Make the remaining selections in the Archive Options window as you normally would. (See “Archiving files and folders” for more information.)
4. Click Continue when finished. The files will be archived to the selected destination and a backup job will be created in the CA ARCserve Backup Manager.
5. Run the Backup Job in the CA ARCserve Backup Manager at your convenience.
