Find Properties are displayed in the right side details display portion of the File Cabinet window whenever a Global Find is selected. All of the properties displayed for a find may be edited directly in the properties display, except for the Form field. See below for details on specific Find properties.

Save ()
Saves the Global Find properties to the database.
Cancel ()
Cancels any changes made to the Global Find's properties since the last save.
Name
The name of the Global Find. The name defined here will appear in the Find menu, or if Category is used, in the Category sub menu.
Shortcut
The hotkey combination users with permission to use the Global Find can use to open the Global Find in the desktop client. Hotkey combinations for Global Finds must include the Shift key.
Category
An organizing component for Finds. When a Category is used, the Global Find will appear in a sub menu with the Category name underneath the Finds menu in the desktop client. Categories are optional.
Using Form
Displays the name of the Form on which the Global Find is based. This is defined in the Global Find Editor. This field may appear blank for new Global Finds and Global Finds that have been saved without a Form assignment.
Always reset find appearance onload
To always load the appearance settings (Digital Resources/Documents Tab, pane dimensions, window size, etc...) from the database when the Find is opened, select the "Always reset find appearance on load" checkbox (see above).
Show in context find menu
To save the Find as a Context Find, select the "Show in context find menu" checkbox. When selected, the Find will be available in the Context Menu and will have additional criteria added to the condition for automatically restricting the find to the storage location related to what object the user is viewing/where the user is browsing.
Note: Only Global Finds based on the Digital Resources Folder Type can be shown in the Context Find Menu. Global Finds based on other Folder Types will not have this option.
Open Find ()
Open the Global Find in the Global Find Editor window for defining and/or modifying the search criteria and appearance of the Global Find.
Access
Define access privileges to the Global Find for users and groups.
