Working with Assignment Queues

In addition to My To-Do Lists, Creative and Production Users may be responsible for monitoring one or more Assignment Queues. These are special Finds that display Activities that do not currently have any users assigned.

Working with an Assignment Queue is similar to working with regular Assignments accessed through the My Assignments Find. Assignment Queues are specific to individual Roles. This means that an Assignment Queue for “Design” will only show Assignments with the “Design” Role attribute, an Assignment Queue for “Photography” will only show Assignments with the “Photography” Role attribute, and so forth. If Assignment Queues are part of the workflow, individual Creative and Production Users responsible for performing multiple types of work may have multiple Assignment Queues to monitor.

When using an Assignment Queue to pick up work, Creative and Production Users can assign themselves to Activities by clicking Pick ( ). Thereafter, they can work on the Activities as described in “Working with My To-Do Lists” above.
