Activities are the representation in Virtual Ticket of the fundamental tasks that need to be performed in order to complete a workflow. They can be typed in directly into Schedules or Schedule Templates forms or be defined in activity records to be easily reusable between schedules.
To enforce consistency when working with activities you can set option Activity Usage to "Only choose preconfigured" to force proof managers to use only predefined activities.
Activity records are defined with a variety of attributes used to associate an Activity with Roles, other tickets in the Virtual Ticket system, the length of time it is expected to take to complete, and indicators that specify an Activity as a milestone in the project, most of those are defaults and can be modified when the Activity is added to a Schedule Template or Job Schedule without changing the attributes of the source Activity record.
There are 2 types of activities:
- Production activity
- Approval activity - integrated with Approval Manager. Has a review result and can be automatically routed based on it, integrates with Approval Manager.
ID | The unique alphanumeric identifier for the Activity. This is a required attribute. |
Name | A descriptive name for the Activity. This is a required attribute. |
Type | Production or Approval |
Additional attributes are optional and can be modified on other forms in which they appear.
