![]() | Approval Manager's integrated Acrobat proofing support is available in Workgroups only. |
Approval Manager supports the use of Adobe Reader for reviewing proofs. When using Adobe Reader to review proofs, you will need to keep the following points in mind:
- The Approval Status must be set within Approval Manager (it cannot be set from within Reader).
- If you are using Adobe Reader, you will only be able to comment and annotate PDFs that were originally saved by Acrobat Professional with the "Enable for Commenting and Analysis in Adobe Reader" option enabled before being uploaded to Approval Manager. If this option is not enabled before saving the PDF and uploading it to Approval Manager, users reviewing with Adobe Reader will not even be able to see existing comments.
- Comments and annotations made in Adobe Reader are not automatically synced and made available to other Approval Manager users. If you want to share your comments and annotations, you will have to save the document and upload it back to Approval Manager.
- You may elect to leave your feedback in web comments attached to the proof. This does not require you to comment or annotate anything in Adobe Reader, but you do have the option of attaching files to your web comments.
All points are described in the procedure below.
