Conducting Searches with DSM Finds

Conducting Searches with DSM Finds

DSM allows you to create and save your searches as “Finds”, allowing you to create your own personal library of instantly available Finds that are immediately available to you.

There are three steps involved in conducting any Find:

  1. Choose the form you wish to search by.
  2. Define the search logic.
  3. Search.

While these steps are common to all Finds, the time and effort required in repeating these steps can be reduced by saving frequently used or complex Finds for reuse. To do this requires a few more steps in addition to the ones already covered:

  1. Choose the form you wish to search by.
  2. Define the search logic.
  3. Set the appropriate Find Mode.
  4. Search.
  5. Customize the Find output.
  6. Save the Find.
