Changing The System ID

Changing The System ID

The Licenses window of the Application Server Shell also allows you to change the System ID. The System ID is the serial number used by the Application Server program when it is initially launched. Normally, you would not need to change the System ID unless you were switching your system from a trial/evaluation version to a fully certified version.

Changing the Application Server System ID

1. Select Licenses from the Configuration menu. This will open the Licenses window if it is not open, or bring it to the front if it is already open.
2. Click CHANGE SYSTEM ID. This will open the Change System ID dialog box, allowing you to change the System ID of your Application Server.

3. Type the new System ID you want to assign and click OK. This will change the Application Server System ID to the newly-entered serial number.

If you are changing the System ID from a trial version to a certified version, any trial version client serial numbers will automatically become invalid.
