Utilizing Rulers and Guides

Rulers and guides are provided in the Form Editor to assist you in aligning and positioning form objects on a form. Guides are saved with the form, allowing you to reuse guides each time the form is opened in the Form Editor.

To add a guide to a form:

1. Click the horizontal or vertical ruler and drag the mouse to the appropriate position on the form. The ruler that you select will create a corresponding guide (clicking the horizontal ruler creates a horizontal guide while clicking the vertical ruler creates a vertical guide).

Tip: Form objects will automatically align themselves to guides when they are moved close to them.

To reposition an existing guide:

2. Click and drag it with the Selection Tool to a different location on the form.

To remove an existing guide:

3. Click and drag it with the Selection Tool back onto the horizontal or vertical ruler.
