Utility Functions

The Job Manager system is installed with an Administrator account and standard administrator password. It is recommended that you change this immediately upon installation of the system. This is done in the Preferences page while logged in to the system as the Administrator.


Changing the Administrator Password

By default, the Administrator password to the Job Manager system is "admin". This password can be changed using the Change Password window while logged into the Job Manager system as the Administrator. If you decide to change the Administrator password, be sure to make it something that will be easily remembered or write it down in a secure area to avoid forgetting it at a later date.

Changing the Administrator password

1. Click the Preferences link in the upper right corner of Workgroups Portal. This will open the Preferences page.

2. Type the current password you used to log in to Workgroups Portal in the Old User Password field located in the Change Password section of the Preferences Page.

3. Type the new password you want to use twice: once in the Enter New User Password field and once in the Confirm New Password field. Passwords must be exactly the same in each field.

4. Click Save ( ) when finished. Your password will be reset to the one typed in the New Password fields. You will be required to use your new password the next time you log in to Workgroups Portal.
