Using Reports Workgroups Portal Tips and Tricks
This section of the User Guide describes tips and tricks for using the Job Manager web client to perform tasks that are outside the scope of the typical workflow and to describe features that may make users more efficient in performing their tasks with the client.
Forcing the ability to select a Report Format
For some Reports, the ability to select a Report Format is provided through the Report Format Warning message. Since this message can be suppressed by users in their preferences, users will normally not have the ability to select a format for the Report and the default format (PDF) will be used when generating the Report. Since users may still have an occasional need to select a format for Reports that is not the default format (PDF), a method exists for selecting a Report format even when the Report Format warning message has been suppressed in the user's preferences.
Forcing the ability to select a Report Format
1. ALT+Click a link to a Report. If the Report Format warning message has been suppressed, a Choose Report Format warning message will appear.
Note: If the Report Format warning message has NOT been suppressed, ALT+Clicking on a Report link will have no effect.
2. Select the format you want to generate the Report in and click OK ( ). The Report will be generated in the selected format.
