Color Palette

Form-> Windows menu-> Show Color

The Color Palette provides the ability to apply standard color attributes to form objects. Color attributes are generally applied after a form object has been created on the form.

The Colors Palette provides standard color controls for text and selected form objects.

Note: Opacity is not supported by the form editor, and opacity controls are not displayed in the Color Palette when the Form Editor is used on machines with OS X operating systems prior to Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger).

Display Color Wheel

The default selection for the Color Palette, presenting the controls illustrated above.

Display Color Sliders

Alternate display for selecting color properties based on slider controls.

Display Color Palettes

Alternate display for selecting color properties based on list selection.

Color Chooser

Tool for selecting a color that appears anywhere on the desktop.

Color Sample

Sample of the currently selected color.

Color Wheel

Standard color wheel for selecting color.

Brightness Slider

Adjusts the brightness of the selected color.

Opacity Slider

Adjusts the opacity of the selected color.

Opacity Percent

Displays the opacity percent attribute selected by the slider. Opacity can be changed by typing a new value directly into this box.

Recent Colors

Displays recently used colors for easy access.

Procedures

To show the Color Palette:

  1. Select Show Color from the Form-> Windows menu. The Color Palette will appear.

To hide the Color Palette:

  1. Select Hide Color from the Form-> Windows menu. The Color Palette will close.

To apply a color attribute to a form object:

  1. Select a form object.
  2. Select a color attribute. The color attribute will be applied to the selected form object.
