The Administrator User

Each Digital Storage Manager or Virtual Ticket with Digital Storage Manager database attached to the web server contains the predefined Administrator user that cannot be removed from the system. The default password for the Administrator is “admin”. For security purposes, it is suggested that you change this password to protect certain database information.

To edit the Administrator user:

1. Log in to the web server using the default “admin” password.
2. Click the ADMINISTRATION tab. The list of the users registered for the web server will be displayed.

1. Click EDIT next to “Administrator” to edit the Administrator user.

1. Provide a new password, email address and filters as needed. For more information on filtering user access to digital resources, refer to the “Filtering User Access” subsection.
2. Click UPDATE to save the changes you have made.
