Privileges in the Image Portal web server are used to add and remove the ability for users to see field information in resource Properties and to allow and disallow the ability for users to use fields in searches. Privileges are assigned on a per Group basis. Therefore, users assigned to a Group will inherit the Privileges assigned to the Group.
1. While logged into the Image Portal Web Server*, click ADMINISTRATION* located on the top navigation bar and select Privileges in the sidebar. This will display the Privileges page, allowing you to select a Group for which you want to assign Privileges.
2. Select a Group from the Group drop down list. The Privileges list will appear, allowing you to define the visibility of fields in Digital Resource Properties and the availability of Fields in searches.
3. Select the Fields you want to be visible in Digital Resource Properties when viewed by users of the current Group.
4. Select the Fields you want to be available for users of the current Group to search for Digital Resources by.
5. Click SAVE when finished.
