Production Jobs

Production Jobs

The Production Jobs window is a predefined Global Find that displays all Production Jobs that have been added to the system. Since this is a Global Find, it can be modified by the Administrator. Non-Administrator users can further restrict the results listed in the Production Jobs window by modifying the search criteria.

From the Production Jobs window, Jobs may be selected for immediate archive, future archive, entry of custom production metadata and numerous other operations.

Production Jobs and the included digital resources are added to DSM in one of two ways. They can be automatically added to the database using high performance server agents called InterSync (assuming that the Job Role has been defined in Classificator) or new Jobs can be created manually by completing the New Job form in DSM.

Because the status of a Production Job changes from “Production” to “Archive” when a job is archived, the Production Jobs tool by default only displays active (or in-production) Jobs (unless users change the search criteria).
