Notifications can be viewed within the Notification Box window, which displays the date and time the notification was generated, the folder type, ID, document type, event, and sender for the notification. If a message was included with the notification, it will appear at the bottom of the Notification Box. In addition, the Notification Box allows you to acknowledge the notification (letting the sender know you have received and reviewed the notification), forward the notification to additional user(s) and/or group(s), and open the folder/document record that generated the notification directly in the Browser window.
1. Select Notification Box from the Tools menu or press Command-B (Mac)/Ctrl-B (PC). This will open the Notification Box window for the user currently logged into Virtual Ticket Developer if it is not open, or bring it to the front if it is already open.
2. Select the In Box folder tab to view the notifications you have received from other users of the system. A listing of notifications will be displayed, indicating specific information about each notification (sender, event, etc.).
3. Select the appropriate notification to view any messages that were included with the notification. The message will appear at the bottom of the Notification Box.
4. To acknowledge a notification, click on the closed envelope indicator ( ) for the appropriate notification. The closed envelope will become an open envelope (
), indicating that you have acknowledged the notification. This will automatically update the status of the notification in the sender’s Notification Box.
5. Forwarding: To forward a notification, select the appropriate notification and click Forward (). A Notification Users dialog box will appear, allowing you to select the user(s) and/or group(s) to whom you want to forward the notification.
NOTE: These forwarding instructions may also be used to forward notifications from the In History section of the window.
6. Forwarding: Click the Notify checkbox for each user and/or group to whom you want to forward the notification and Notify ( ). A new notification will appear in each of the specified user’s Notification Box window and a corresponding notification will also appear in the Out Box of your own Notification Box window.
7. To view the folder/document record that generated the notification, double-click the appropriate notification. This will open a new Browser window and instruct Virtual Ticket to automatically display the folder/document record in the window.
