Using View Options

By default, Virtual Ticket Developer displays digital resources as individual thumbnail images. As you start adding digital resources to the system, associating them with the appropriate jobs, customers, etc., you may want to view the digital resources in different ways depending on your needs.

View Roots/View All Files – Virtual Ticket Developer allows you to view digital resources either as roots or all files. The method you choose will depend, in part, on how the digital resource was added to the system initially. If you added a folder as a digital resource, the folder may be represented in the system as a root folder – one that contains additional digital resource files. You may instruct Virtual Ticket Developer to display just the root digital resources (i.e. the folders) or all files (i.e. both the folders and the files stored within). If you are looking for a specific file, you may want to view all files. On the other hand, if you want to move or copy an entire digital resource folder (e.g. a job folder or image folder), then you may want to view roots. The exact method you choose will depend on how you use Virtual Ticket Developer to manage your digital resources.

Display Options (View As Thumbnails/As List) – These options allow you to select whether the digital resources are displayed as thumbnail images or as a grid listing. If there are a large number of digital resources displayed, it may be more efficient to view them as a list, as more digital resources will be visible in the same amount of space.

Sort Order – These options allow you to sort the visible digital resources by ID, Name, Document Type, Size, Creation Time, Modification Time, or Path. You may also select None for the sort order, in which case the visible digital resources will be displayed in the order in which they were added to the File Board or file collector field.

Setting view options for digital resources

  1. Select the digital resource(s) you want to view within Virtual Ticket Developer. Digital resources may be accessed through the File Board window, through a file collector field on a form in the Browser window, or through a search result.
  2. Select the appropriate options from the View Tool ( ). The digital resource display will alter its view of the digital resources based on the view criteria that were selected.
