Notifications that have been sent but not yet acknowledged by all recipients (i.e. the notifications in the Out Box) may be removed by their sender. When a notification is removed by its sender, it does not move into the Out Box History section of the Notification Box; rather, the notification is removed from the recipients’ Notification Boxes. Notifications may either be removed on a recipient-by-recipient basis (from the Notification Targets window) or for all recipients (from the Out Box section of the Notification Box window). In the latter case, the notification is removed not only from the each recipient’s Notification Box, but from the sender’s box as well.
Removing a notification for selected recipients
1. Select Notification Box from the Tools menu or press Command-B (Mac)/Ctrl-B (PC). This will open the Notification Box window for the user currently logged into the Virtual Ticket Developer application if it is not open, or bring it to the front if it is already open.
2. Select the Out Box folder tab to view the notifications you have sent to other user(s)/group(s) in the system. A listing of notifications that you have sent will be displayed, indicating specific information about each notification (folder type, event, number of recipients, etc.)
3. Double-click the appropriate notification. A Notification Targets dialog box will appear, displaying information about the users for whom the notification is pending under the “Pending” tab and information about the users who have acknowledged the notification under the “Acknowledged” tab.
4. Click the “Pending” tab. Only pending notifications may be removed via the Notification Targets window.
5. Select the recipient(s) for whom you would like to remove the notification and click REMOVE. A warning box will appear, asking you whether you are sure that you would like to remove the notification before it has been acknowledged.
6. Click YES to remove the notification from the Notification Box(es) of the selected recipient(s) or click NO to cancel.
Removing a notification for all recipients
1. Select Notification Box from the Tools menu or press Command-B (Mac)/Ctrl-B (PC). This will open the Notification Box window for the user currently logged into the Virtual Ticket Developer application if it is not open, or bring it to the front if it is already open.
2. Select the Out Box folder tab to view the notifications you have sent to other user(s)/group(s) in the system. A listing of notifications that you have sent will be displayed, indicating specific information about each notification (folder type, event, number of recipients, etc.)
3. Select the notification you would like to delete and click REMOVE. The notification will be deleted from the Virtual Ticket Developer database and removed from your Out Box and the Notification Box(es) of its recipient(s).
