Virtual Ticket Developer provides the ability to open digital resources in both the native application in which they were created and in any other application that can read the file type of the digital resource. This allows you to open digital resources directly fromVirtual Ticket Developer without having to navigate the file system. Digital resources are opening using the Context Menu or via the Tools Button ( ).
Important! The volume on which the digital resource is physically located must be mounted in order to open the file.
1. Select the digital resource(s) you want to open. Digital resources may be accessed through the File Board window, through a file collector field on a form in the Browser window, or through a search result.
2. To open a digital resource in its native application, select Open:File/Folder(s) from the Tools Button ( ), or click the digital resource while pressing the Ctrl key and select Open:File/Folder(s). This will launch the native application that created the digital resource and open the selected file.
Note: If the digital resource is a file folder, the folder will open itself in a new Finder window.
At this point, the digital resource file or folder is open (either in an application or in the Finder) and you may begin working with the physical digital resource that is saved in your file system.
