Moving Notifications To History

As notifications are received and acknowledged, the number of notifications displayed in the In Box section of the Notification Box will continue to grow. To manage the number of notifications displayed, Virtual Ticket Developer allows you to move notifications from the In Box section to the In History section of the Notification Box. This enables you to filter the In Box and display only those notifications that have yet to be acknowledged.

Moving notifications to history

  1. Select Notification Box from the Tools menu or press Command-B (Mac)/Ctrl-B (PC). This will open the Notification Box window for the user currently logged into the Virtual Ticket Developer application if it is not open, or bring it to the front if it is already open.
  2. Select the In Box folder tab to view the notifications you have received from other users of the system. A listing of notifications will be displayed, indicating specific information about each notification (sender, event, etc.).
  3. To move an individual notification, select a notification and click Remove ( ). If the notification has been acknowledged, this will move the acknowledged notification to the In History section of the window. If the notification has not yet been acknowledged, this will bring up a dialog box asking you if you wish to acknowledge the notification and move it to the In History. Click YES if you want to acknowledge the notification and move it to the In History section of the window or click NO to cancel.
  4. To move all acknowledged notifications (all notifications with an open envelope indicator), click Remove Viewed ( ). This will move all acknowledged notifications listed in the In Box section to the In History section of the window.
