Filtering History

Filtering History

As notifications are acknowledged and sent to either the In History or Out History sections of the Notification Box window, you may want to filter the notifications. Filtering notifications instructs Virtual Ticket Developer to display only those notifications that were generated a set number of days before the current date. While all notifications remain stored on the database for historical purposes if needed, you are able to specify the notifications that should be displayed for immediate viewing purposes.

Filtering notifications in history

1. Select Notification Box from the Tools menu or press Command-B (Ctrl-B on a PC). This will open the Notification Box window for the user currently logged into the Virtual Ticket Developer application if it is not open, or bring it to the front if it is already open.

2. Select either the In History or Out History folder tab to view any notifications that have been moved to history. A listing of notifications will be displayed, indicating specific information about each notification (sender, event, etc.).

3. Click Filter ( ) to set the date range filter for the notifications. A History Filter dialog box will appear, allowing you to specify how many days’ worth of notifications will be displayed. Virtual Ticket Developer defaults to displaying seven days’ worth of notifications.

4. Type the number of days’ worth of notifications you want to display and click OK. This will instruct Virtual Ticket Developer to only display notifications that were generated within the specified number of days.
