MetaScript Editor Keyboard Shortcuts

The following shortcuts are available when working in the MetaScript editor:

Cursor Navigation

Move the cursor by one character or line in the corresponding direction.

Arrow Keys

Move the cursor to the beginning of the next word in the corresponding direction.

CTRL + Horizontal Arrow

Scroll one page up or down.

Page Up/Page Down

Move cursor to the beginning or end of the current line.

Home/End

Move cursor to the beginning/end of the document.

CTRL + Home/End

Move cursor to the beginning or end of the next word to the right.

CTRL + 

Move cursor to the beginning or end of the next word to the left.

CTRL + /

Move the cursor to the beginning of the next paragraph.

CTRL + [

Move the cursor to the beginning of the previous paragraph.

CTRL + ]

Selection

Select all text.

CTRL + A

Select text while moving cursor.

Shift + <any combination from Cursor Navigation above>

Select vertical blocks of text while moving cursor.

ALT + Shift + <any combination from Cursor Navigation above>

Scrolling

Scroll up/down by one line.

CTRL + Vertical Arrow

Editing

Copy the selected text.

CTRL + C

Cut the selected text from the document.

CTRL + X

Paste text.

CTRL + V

Undo most recent change.

CTRL + Z

Redo most recently undone change.

CTRL + Shift + Z

Duplicate the current line.

CTRL + D

Cut the current line from the open document and copy it to the clipboard.

CTRL + L

Delete the current line.

CTRL + Shift + L

Swap the current line with the line above it.

CTRL + T

Copy the current line to the clipboard.

CTRL + Shift + T

Convert selected text to lowercase.

CTRL + U

Convert selected text to uppercase.

CTRL + Shift + U

Delete the word to the right of the cursor.

CTRL + Delete

Delete all text on the current line to the right of the cursor.

CTRL + Shift + Delete

Delete the word to the left of the cursor.

CTRL + Backspace

Delete all text on current line to the left of the cursor.

CTRL + Shift + Backspace

Indents

Insert a tab-indent at the current cursor location.

Tab

Insert a tab-indent at the start of each line with currently selected text. (Text selection must include the end of at least one line.)

Tab

Remove a tab-indent at the start of each line with currently selected text. (Text selection must include the end of at least one line.)
