Business Needs Addressed By SQL SDK

Business Needs Addressed By SQL SDK

A site implementing a particular Management Information System (MIS) is usually faced with following problems:

The MIS is never customizable enough. There are always some requirements beyond the customization capabilities available to an end user.

It never covers all of the business needs of a customer. This usually forces the customer to run several information systems at the same time. To support the business processes consistently, one system has to manage the information used and managed by other systems. In order to do this, systems need to “feed” each other synchronized information.

To solve these problems, the site has to either do manual operations (entering the information, re-keying the information from one system to another system, etc.) or automate them. The costly, slow, and error-prone nature of manual operations make automation a more desirable option. This requires the MIS to extend beyond its original features.

To satisfy this requirement throughout its product line, MetaCommunications has:

Designed its products to utilize an open database back-end, which makes the information accessible to other systems and tools, and

Provided the set of tools for custom management of the information stored in MetaCommunications systems.

SQL SDK is the part of the toolset designed to help automate operations using the Microsoft SQL Server database back-end.
