Looking up Digital Resource Information
The Virtual Ticket Developer InDesign Plug-in allows users to look up digital resource information in Virtual Ticket Developer for open Adobe InDesign documents as well as for images and files referenced within them (such files are commonly referred to as “linked files”).
Looking up digital resource information for an open document
1. Open the document in Adobe InDesign.
2. Select View Digital Resource from the Plug-Ins:Virtual Ticket Developer™ menu in Adobe InDesign. Virtual Ticket Developer will display the digital resource information of the open Adobe InDesign document in the Browser window.
Note: You have to save your newly created document to the disk before looking up its digital resource information in Virtual Ticket Developer.
When an image/file referenced in Virtual Ticket Developer is placed within an Adobe InDesign document, it is possible to quickly look up information about the digital resource in Virtual Ticket Developer.
Looking up digital resource information for placed images/files
1. Open the document in Adobe InDesign.
2. In Adobe InDesign select the image/file whose digital resource information you want to look up in Virtual Ticket Developer. To look up digital resource information for multiple images/files simultaneously, select multiple images/files in the Adobe InDesign document.
3. Select View Digital Resource from the Plug-Ins:Virtual Ticket Developer™ menu. Virtual Ticket Developer become active and display in the Browser window the digital resource information of the image/file you have selected in the Adobe InDesign document. If you have selected multiple images/files, multiple Browser windows will appear, each displaying information for one of the selected images/files.
NOTE: Both Adobe InDesign and Virtual Ticket Developer must be running in order to look up digital resource information. The image/file you have selected must also have a record within the Virtual Ticket Developer database.
