Starting, Stopping, Pausing, Resuming and Restarting the MetaData Service
By default, the MetaData Service is set to start automatically when the Windows operating system starts up. However, it may be desirable to start, stop, pause, resume and/or restart the service manually. This can be done using either the Services snap-in or the MetaData Service snap-in of the MetaCommunications console.
Starting, stopping, pausing, resuming or restarting the MetaData Service using the MetaData Service snap-in
- Expand “MetaCommunications Services” in the tree portion of the MetaCommunications console, right-click the <Server_Name>.MetaData Service sub-tree, and select Start, Stop, Pause, Resume, or Restart. You may also click <Server_Name>.MetaData Service and click the appropriate button in the toolbar (
- Start/Resume,
- Stop,
- Pause,
- Restart).
