Enabling / Disabling Folder Configurations
When a database is first attached to the File System Service, the File System Service provides the option of automatically retrieving a list of file server folders from the database (folders have been set up to be synchronized by InterSync services installed on other computers on your network). However, the File System Service is disabled for each of these retrieved folder configurations, excluding the folders from its scans. If you would like the File System Service to begin synchronizing the database with one of these folders, you need only ‘enable’ the corresponding configuration.
Enabling/disabling a folder configuration
- Expand the name of the appropriate database in the MetaCommunications Services:File System Service:Databases sub-tree of the MetaCommunications console. The list of Production, Archive, and Undefined folders will expand.
- Select a Folder type (Archive, Production). The Folders of the selected type that are assigned to the database are displayed in the contents display pane.
- Right-click the appropriate folder and select Enable or Disable as appropriate. The change you have made will be reflected in the “Enabled” column of the “Folders” listing.
