Adding and removing server and client licenses
You can use the Server Configurator to add and remove client and server licenses for MetaCommunications products by following the procedure described below.
Adding and removing server and client licenses
1. On the Windows 2003 Server computer that hosts the Server Components, open the Server Configuration Tool. The Server Configuration Tool is available in the Start-> Programs-> MetaCommunications window on the Windows Server computer on which the MetaCommunications Server components have been installed. When opened, the The Server Configurator Welcome window will appear.
2. Click Next in the Server Configurator until the Server Licenses window appears.
3. Use the Add and Remove buttons to add and remove Server Licenses. To add licenses: type each server license key assigned to you in the License field and click Add. When added, valid licenses will appear in the license display. To remove license keys: select the license key you want to remove and click Remove. The license will be removed.
The screen capture above shows a variety of server licenses for a broad array of MetaCommunications products. You will likely have different server product licenses to add.
Note: A valid server license is required to use each MetaCommunications server-based product.
4. Click Next when finished adding and/or removing server licenses. The Client Licenses window will open.
5. Use the Add and Remove buttons to add and remove Server Licenses. To add licenses: type each server license key assigned to you in the License field and click Add. When added, valid licenses will appear in the license display. To remove license keys: select the license key you want to remove and click Remove. The license will be removed.

6. Type each client license key you have purchased in the License field and click Add. When added, valid licenses will appear in the license display. The screen capture above shows a variety of client licenses for MetaCommunications products. You will likely have different client licenses to add.
Note: Valid Client Licenses are required to use each MetaCommunications server-based product.
7. Click Next when finished adding client licenses. The Select Microsoft SQL Server window will open.
8. Select or type the SQL Server instance you want to use and type the ‘sa’ password in the password field.
9.Continue clicking Next until the Completing Configuration Wizard window appears.
10. Click Finish. The Server Configurator will close.
