Guide for Proof Producers

Who is a Producer? Someone responsible for uploading a file to the production stage of Approval Manager 1 . In some environments, this may be a dedicated role, in other environments, production activities may be performed by proof managers. In fact, it may even change from proof to proof in the same environment.

Often times dedicated production staff become involved when feedback from reviewers at some stage (or stages) in the process necessitates rework, new versions, or other modifications to the proof. In a creative environment, this may mean that "production" is handled by the graphic design group. When reviewers reject or request changes to a proof, it is sent back to the production stage. When the design group has made their revisions, they can upload the new file and the review can continue.

Approval Manager's Producer Dashboard provides a convenient way for users with production responsibilities to monitor or check the status of proofs that need to be uploaded to the workflow.

The following sections describe the typical activities performed by Producers in Approval Manager.
