Configuring the Finder Plug-in

If the Virtual Ticket Developer Client is open, you can use the Finder Plug-In features immediately. If you want the Virtual Ticket Developer client to automatically open and log in when you want to use the Finder Plug-In features, you will need to first configure it. Configuration is performed in the Finder Plug-in Configuration Window.

Opening the Finder Plug-in Configuration Window

1. Open the Finder application context menu by right-clicking on a file or folder and clicking Virtual Ticket Developer -> Configure. This will open the Virtual Ticket Developer Finder Plug-in Configuration window.

Configuring the Finder Plug-in General Preferences

1. Open the Finder Plug-in Configuration Window.

2. Click Choose ( ) and browse to and select the Virtual Ticket Developer application installed on your computer.

3. Type the IP Address of the computer where the Virtual Ticket Developer Application Server and database are installed in the “Connect to the server:” text box.

4. Type the port number used to connect to the Virtual Ticket Developer Server (typically Port 7000) in the “Port:” text box.

5. Type the name of the database in the “Use database:” text box.

6. Type the user name for the Virtual Ticket Developer Finder application to log in as in the “Log in as:” text box.

7. Type the password corresponding to the previously identified user in the “With password:” text box.

8. Close the Finder Plug-in Configuration Window when done.

The Virtual Ticket Developer Production Pack Finder Plug-in has now been configured to provide automatic log-in functionality to the Virtual Ticket Developer client.
