The New Customer page is used to create new Customers in the database. It can be accessed from various windows in the system, but the most common way is by clicking the New Customer link in the Customers Home page.
Two fields are required for defining a Customer: Customer Code and Customer Name. The Customer Code must be unique in the system and is not editable once the Customer is saved in the system.
By clicking this icon, you can mark the current Customer as a My Item. White markers ( ) indicate that the Customer has not been marked as a My Item. Yellow markers ( ) indicate that the Customer has been marked as a My Item.
Cancels adding a new Customer. The New Customer page will close and the Customers Home page will appear.
Customer Code
Field for typing the unique identifying code for the new Customer. Customer Codes must be unique in the system and cannot be edited once the Customer is saved.
Name
Field for typing the name to assign to the Customer.
Procedures
Creating a New Customer
Open the New Customer page if it is not already open.
Type a unique identifying code for the Customer in the Customer Code field. This code must be unique in the system and will not be editable once the Customer is saved to the database.
Type the name of the Customer in the Name field.
Click Add ( ) when done. The new Customer will be added to the database and the Customer's details will be displayed. See the Customer Details Page for more information.
