Changing the SQL Server Memory Usage Settings

You can use the Server Configurator to change the SQL Server Memory usage settings by following the procedure described below.

Changing the SQL Server Memory Usage Settings

1. On the Windows 2003 Server computer that hosts the Server Components, open the Server Configuration Tool. The Server Configuration Tool is available in the Start-> Programs-> MetaCommunications window on the Windows Server computer on which the MetaCommunications Server components have been installed. When opened, the The Server Configurator Welcome window will appear.

2. Click Next in the Server Configurator until the Select Microsoft SQL Server window appears.

3. Select or type the SQL Server instance you want to use and type the ‘sa’ password in the password field.
4. Click Next. The Configure Microsoft SQL Server window will appear.

5. Select the memory configuration options you want the SQL Server to use.
6. Continue clicking Next until the Completing Configuration Wizard window appears.

7. Click Finish. The Server Configurator will close.
